With a strong academic foundation in Physics and Engineering, I combine subject expertise with a deep commitment to inspiring young learners. As a Physics teacher, I design engaging, accessible lessons that simplify complex concepts, foster curiosity, develop critical thinking, and build student confidence. My research and publications, including work on student engagement in the digital world, reflect my dedication to evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement in science education.
Strategic Leadership and Governance Expertise
I have completed the Chair of Governors Programme with the National Governance Association (NGA) and a four-week Leadership Development course through Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, gaining high-level leadership knowledge and strategic insight. By blending classroom experience with governance and strategic leadership expertise, I strengthen accountability, inspire colleagues, and build capacity for school improvement and sustained excellence.
Inspiring Educator and Transformational Leader
As a lifelong learner and advocate for professional growth, I have volunteered extensively in educational leadership, developing skills in collaboration, strategic planning, and community engagement. I now share these insights as the host of the Lab to Ed Leadership Podcast, exploring the intersection of science, education, and leadership. Through the podcast, I create opportunities for educators and leaders to connect, reflect, and innovate - fostering a culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and impact across the education community.
I believe every child deserves to experience the wonder of science and feel empowered to explore it. As a passionate Physics teacher with a background in engineering and international academics, I make science engaging, accessible, and inspiring - turning complex ideas into curiosity-driven learning that sparks critical thinking, creativity, and a strong grasp of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
Beyond the classroom, I have served as a Multi-Academy Trust Trustee and former Chair of Governors, leading governance through Ofsted inspections and shaping improvement strategies for diverse school communities. These experiences strengthened my belief that true leadership lies in vision, accountability, and collaboration to ensure equity and opportunity for every learner.
I am committed to continuous growth and research-driven practice. My work on student engagement in the digital world, combined with my participation as a coachee on a Masters-level Executive & Senior Leader Coaching Programme delivered face-to-face by a School Improvement Executive, reflects this drive. My professional journey is guided by a simple mission: to inspire leaders, empower educators, and transform learning communities so every child can thrive.
